Abstract
In this paper, we present an efficient iterative fitting method of a Loop subdivision surface along with an approximation method of mesh data. We propose a simplified Newton method which uses errors at one neighbor control points and obtains the control mesh in order (n) for input points. We show the effectiveness of the method by calculations of some examples. © 2010 CAD Solutions, LLC.
